LaForest leads La Salle to rout

TROY, N.Y. » The La Salle boys basketball team got a game-high 21 points from Seth LaForest and 18 from Joe DeLollo in a 70-33 rout of Ravena- Coymans- Selkirk in a Colonial Council contest Tuesday.

Raymond Evans added eight points for the Cadets who placed 10 players on the scoresheet.

CJ Bianchino scored 15 points to lead Ravena.

ALBANY ACADEMY 84, LANSINGBUR­GH 50 » August Mahoney scored a game-high 23 points to lead Albany Academy to an 84-50 win over Lansingbur­gh in the season opener for both squads.

Andre Jakcson added 17 points and Marcus Filien had 16 for the Cadets in the win.

Alonzo Barrett led Lansingbur­gh with 14 points, Isaiah Knight had 11 and Trevor Green contribute­d 10 points for the Knights in defeat.

MAPLE HILL 73, COXSACKIE-ATHENS53 » Nate Mannion scored 22 points while Evan Kulpa had 13 and Nick Butler finished with 12

for the Wildcats.

SCHALMONT5­4, WATERVLIET 33 » Payton Graber scored 20 points to lead the Sabres in a Colonial Council clash.

Watervliet’s Sheila Caminiti scored 10 points to lead the Cannoneers.

HOLY NAMES 41, RAVENA 21 » Lydia Williams scored 14 poitns and Skyler Dunn added 10 for Holy Names in a Colonial Council win. Ravena was held to just three third- quarter points as Holy Names clinched the win.

SARATOGA SPRINGS 102, GUILDERVIL­LE/ VOORHEESVI­LLE 81 » Saratoga Springs senior captain Zac Zwijacz hit state- qualifying marks in the 200 individual medley and 100 free in a 10281 season-opening win over Guilderlan­d/ Voorheesvi­lle Tuesday night.

Fellow senior captain Nate Marron also with a 23.32 mark to place first in the 50 freestyle and a win in the 100 backstroke for the Blue Streaks. SHENENDEHO­WA 110, BETHLEHEM7­4 » Shen swimmers hit six state cuts as the Plainsmen beat the Eagles in a match-up of the top two teams from a year ago.

BURNT HILLS- BALLSTON LAKE 90, BALLSTONSP­A 54 » Evan Buckley won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle to lead the Spartans to the team win. Karl Burkert won the 200 IM, Robert Bodien won the 100 backstroke and Nick Srokowski took first in the 100 breaststro­ke for the Scotties.

SHAKER 12 » Jack Muller rolled a high single of 245 and 704 triple to lead Saratoga Springs’ boys bowling team to a 20-12 win over Shaker.

The Blue Streaks had a 3,385- 3,315 advantage in total pins.

Hunter Chandler had a 243- 618 for Saratoga Springs.

Chris Bara had a high single of 242 for the Blue Bison and teammate Frank Aiello finished with a 614 series.

SHENENDEHO­WA 26, NISKAYUNA 6 » Brennon Belding had a high single of 268 and 655 series, Plainsmen teammate Bud Boehringer rolled a 228- 651 and Mike Westfall recorded a 246- 649 in the win.

COLONIE 23, GUILDERLAN­D 9» Adam Ballard rolled a match high single of 246 and a high series of 673 as the Raiders topped the Dutchmen 3,624- 3,389 in total wood.

Senior captain AJ Hurlburt was the top bowler of the match with 226- 664. College soccer

WATERVLIET­NATIVECARE­CCIA HONORED » Sophomore Camryn Careccia became the first Clarkson University Women’s Soccer player to earn an all-region selection since 1995 when the United Soccer Coaches organizati­on picked her for NCAA Division III All-East Third-Teamhonors on Tuesday afternoon.

Careccia was chosen as a Liberty League SecondTeam All- Star in 2017, tying for fourth in the league in goals scored (8) and for seventh in total points (17). Three of her goals came in league play, tallying scores against Ithaca, Skidmore and St. Lawrence.

Through 33 career games, Careccia has scored nine goals and added three assists for 21 points, placing her in a tie for 23rd alltime in points at Clarkson through just two seasons. Her nine goals are also tied for 15th all-time in the program’s 36-year history.

Rec bowling

SPARE TIME CLIFTON PARK » Ken Schermerho­rn won the Monday Rollers league with a 540 series. Joe Mazurak was second with a 499. Anita Ross was the top women’s bowler with a 513 series.
