WILLIAMS CHINESE MUSIC ENSEMBLE: The Williams College Department of Music presents the Chinese Music Ensemble in their fall concert, “In a Festive Mood,” at BrooksRogers Recital Hall at 7p.m. on Wednesday, December 6. The Chinese Music Ensemble performs traditional and contemporary pieces. CIVIL WAR ROUND TABLE: The December meeting of the Capital District Civil War Round Table will feature a presentation by Pamela Vittorio on women of the Erie Canal Corridor during the Civil War. She will talk about how the wives of canal boat captains, canal businessmen and laborers tried to keep their husbands’ businesses going during the war, and how many women volunteered for organizations such as the Sanitary Commission.
