TROY - John S. McMahon of Troy, NY, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 after a brief illness. Born on August 26, 1968 in Troy, NY, he was the son of Barbara Chiappone McMahon and the late Ed McMahon. John was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1987. John was employed by The Rensselaer County Family Court Center Maintenance Department on Fifth Ave. in Troy for the past 19 years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, always cheering on his team. John spent his life dedicated to his family and was always there to lend a helping hand. Survivors in addition to his mother Barbara Chiappone McMahon of Troy, include his sister Jennifer McMahon Lacy and his brother-in law Darren Lacy of San Francisco, California as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service for John will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 AM at St. Michael The Archangel Church 175 Williams Road Troy, NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the church Monday from 4-7PM. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Troy, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in the memory of John S. McMahon to the ICC Soup Kitchen 1450 Fifth Ave. Troy, NY or to St. Michael The Archangel Church 175 Williams Road Troy, NY.
