TV series to debut in 2018

SARATOGASPRINGS, N.Y. » A locallymade television series called “The Adventures of Snow White and Rose Red” is set to debut in early 2018, with the first glimpse available online now.

The trailer for “The Adventures of Snow White and Rose Red,” created by the Spa City-based Trident Fantasy Films, was recently released on Amazon Video.

The show, which is expected to be released directly to Amazon Prime Video early next year, is a live-action fairy tale was filmed in upstate New York in and around Saratoga Springs this summer. The children’s show follows the adventures of sisters Snow White and Rose Red. The sisters, played by real life siblings Demetra and Callista Zorbas, live in an enchanted forest with their parents and begin to cross paths with Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Alice in Wonderland — characters they’ve only read about in fairy tales.

“It was really important for us to create a positive TV show that parents felt comfortable letting their young children watch,” said show creator Nicole Coady in a press release.

Trident Fantasy Films owners Andrew Balog, Katie Spass and Coady are the show’s executive producers. The show is the company’s first official project.

The first episode is anticipated to debut on Feb. 15, 2018.
