Troy boys hoops earn first win

TROY, N.Y. » Troy varsity basketball picked up its first win under firstyear coach Greg Davis Friay night in a 63-60 victory over Shaker in a Suburban Council contest.

Nazaire Merritt scored 21 points while Latyce Faison added 19 for the Flying Horses in the victory.

Shaker was led by 17 points form Sloan Seymour, 15 from Devin Mahoney and 12 from Ravion Burt.

Trevor Green scored 27 points to lead the Knights while Isaiah Knight and Mason Little added 10 points apiece.

CBA61, NISKAYUNA4­5 » Andrew Signor scord 25 points while Jordan King and Pete O’Toole added 12 apiece for the Brothers (2- 0) in a win over the Silver Warriors (0-2).

BALLSTON LAKE 27 » The Blue Devils routed the Spartans led by 11 points from Lauren Obermayer, 10 from Alysia Roldan and nine apiece from Lexi Van Vorst and Lily Zwanka.

CBA 3, BETHLEHEM 0 » Braden Jones opened the scoring in the first period and Thomas Liebold scored in the second period to make it 2- 0 Eagles. Jonathan Thibideau added a third goal on an empty net at the end of the third period. Michael Kurdziolek had 37 saves for Bethl ehem while Brandin Mohrhof f had 34 saves for the Brothers.
