FIRST DAY HIKE: Ring in the New Year with a history/nature hike at Peebles Island State Park. This gem, nestled where the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers come together between Waterford and Cohoes, is easily accessible for all ages. The hike explores the history of the Island which dates to the 1600’s and a chance to view wildlife including deer and eagles. Dress warm and bring binoculars and/or a camera.
