Angelica Delgado and Alex Turner Real Judo Players of the Year

BURNT HILLS, N.Y. » Angelica Delgado (27) and Alex Turner (25) have earned Real Judo Magazine’s Player of the Year honors for 2017. Delgado who is currently ranked No. 12on the world ranking list was named 2017Female Player of the Year having the best season for the American women. Among Delgado’s results for 2017was taking 5th place at the Paris Grand Slam, picking up bronze medals at the Austrian Open, Pan Am Championsh­ips, Cancun Grand Prix and earning an invite to the World Masters. The 2017Male Player of the Year was awarded to Turner who trains at the Jason Morris Judo Center in Glenville took 9th at the Paris Grand Slam, won bronze medals at the Pan Am Championsh­ips and Cancun Grand Prix along with making his first world masters. Turner (73kg) is currently ranked No. 18. Delgado and Turner both represent the New York Athletic club as well has their home dojos.
