ALL- COUNTY MUSIC FESTIVAL: Students in grades 10-12from Rensselaer County School Music Programs will premiere a new work for high school concert band. “Cityscape” from Three American Scenes by Samuel “Skip” Livingston, the RCSMA’s first ever commission­ing project, was chosen from a call for scores appropriat­e for high school concert band. The work will be premiered at the AllCounty Music Festival, held January 25& 27. The festival hosts a total of five performing groups: Elementary Band, Junior Chorus, High School Jazz Choir, and High School String Orchestra will perform in addition to the Senior High School Band. Rehearsals will be on Thursday, January 25 (afternoon) and Saturday, January 27(morning), with the concert beginning at 2p.m. in the Troy High School auditorium.

On January 27, at 2p.m., Dr. Dan Bogan, Assistant Professor of Environmen­tal Studies & Sciences at Siena College, discusses his research into coyote behavior and ecology in suburban landscapes at the Visitor Center at Peebles Island.
