Community made toy drive successful

The American Legion Post #1489 in Wynantskill, hosted a Veterans Youth toy drive on November 26, 2017. Generosity from the businesses and the people in this community helped to make the event a great success. We would like to thank The American Legion Post #1489, Grimm Building Material Co., Land Essentials, Inc., The Italian Community Center, The Emerald Club, The Kiwanis Club of North Greenbush, The AOH Club, Town of North Greenbush, Lansingburgh Purple Heart Club, NYSCOPA and all those who gave anonymously for their monetary donations. A thank you goes to the American Legion Post#1489, Bella Napoli Troy, the Inferno Campbell Ave., the Park Pub and Susan & Nora Dwyer for the food they so kindly donated to the event. A very special thank you goes out to the Sons of The American Legion #1489 and the Women’s Auxiliary #1489 for their very generous toy donation. The following donated gift certificates or items for us to raffle off and we are truly grateful: Mr. Subb, Price Chopper, Hoffman’s Car Wash, La Bella’s, RPI, Notty Pine, Stewart’s, Carol’s Eatery, the Forty One and to all those who generously donated or made a basket, thank you so much. We would like to thank Carol DeLair, Joe Renehan, Bill Keegan, Cindy Bizaro-Wilson, Mike Kennedy , Arthur Hagen, Gay Dallas & Pat McMahon for their hard work each year to make this fundraiser happen. A special thank you to the following for allowing us to put a drop box at their location: American Legion Post #1489, Carol’s Eatery, Hannaford Wynantskill, Italian Community Center Charitable Foundation, LaBella’s, Nemer Volkswagen, No. Greenbush Town Hall, Raizada Fuel, & Topsy Curvy.
