Fairytale ending
Local filmmakers’ series to screen at dance museum
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The Spa City filmmakers behind children’s series “The Adventures of Snow White & Rose Red” are hosting a special local screening for viewers to enjoy while accompanied by some of its fairytale characters.
The series, which is set to debut soon on Amazon Prime, is a magical live action fairy tale that follows the adventures of sisters Snow White and Rose Red, who live in an enchanted forest and encounter other classic fairy tale characters.
A trailer for the show is already available for viewing on Amazon, and the series will be released in its entirety later this year.
The Adventures of Snow White & Rose Red was created by Saratoga Springs-based Trident Fantasy Films, which utilized local talent and filmed scenes in recognizable regional sites during the making of the series.
The local project has turned into an enchanting affair for the makers of The Adventures of Snow White & Rose Red. “Having the opportunity to show our series to children on a big screen at the Riggi Theater is a dream come true for us,” said Nicole Coady of Trident Fantasy Films. “I can’t wait to see what they think of a show that we put so much love into. This series really is for the kids! The show is all about friends showing kindness and helping friends and we’re so grateful to this community for being such wonderful friends of the show and supporting us in such an incredible way.”
This weekend, area children and parents can experience the magic on and off-screen by attending a special screening on Saturday at the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs.
Along with the exclusive sneak peek event-goers will get to meet Snow White and Rose Red, played by local actresses Callista and Demetra Zorbas, in person. The screening will also feature a special guest appearance by Alice of Alice in Wonderland.
There will be two screenings, one from 10 a.m. to noon and another from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday at the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame, located at 99 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite fairytale character.
This event is also an opportunity to support local entrepreneurs and the creative industry in the community.
Tickets are $25 each, available for purchase on Eventbrite.
All proceeds from ticket purchases will go directly to funding post-production on this series, which is expected to launch this summer on Amazon.
