MOVING UP THE CAREER LADDER

TROY N.Y. » Elected officials, along with family and friends, filled the City Council chambers at City Hall on Tuesday afternoon to watch two members from the Troy Fire Department be promoted.

The fire department promoted David Bader from lieutenant to captain, and promoted Kyle Miller to lieuten- ant.

Bader is an 11-year veteran of the Troy Fire Department. He was promoted to lieutenant in November 2013. Miller has been a member of the Troy Fire Department since February 2013.

“These promotions recognize their efforts in honing both their firefighting and their leadership skills,” said Troy Mayor Patrick Madden during the ceremony. “They have taken on the hard work that is allowing them to advance their careers and doing so they are not only enriching their lives, but the citizens of Troy are better served by their commitment to their chosen profession.”
