COHOES, N.Y.» The Colonie Chamber of Commerce is supporting its neighbors in the business community after a devastating fire.

The chamber’s monthly networking mixer will benefit the Cohoes businesses that were impacted by a major fire on Nov. 30, 2017.

The event — featuring hors d’oeuvres, drink specials, entertainment and networking — is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14 (date rescheduled from March 7) at Smith’s of Cohoes, located at 171 Remsen St.

This restaurant reopened in mid-December last year after the fire, but the effects of the blaze are still looming over the city’s business community.

In addition to offering local business people the opportunity to make business connections at the mixer, the chamber is working with the City of Cohoes to identify and offer a one-year membership to businesses impacted by the blaze at no charge. Businesses can utilize all member benefits, including affinity programs

and networking events, to aid recovery and promote growth and success in 2018.

Four Colonie Chamber of Commerce member businesses, the Albany Patroons, Cole’s Collision, NHKelman, Inc. Scrap Recycling and Pioneer Bank, will serve as event spon- sors.

More information on the monthly networking mixer as well as other Colonie Chamber of Commerce events and initiatives can be found online at www. coloniechamber.org.
