Donations sought for 9th annual Project Easter Bunny benefit

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.» The ninth annual Project Easter Bunny is underway, and donations are needed.

Floydwarri­ors.com, a nonprofit organizati­on that aims to help families cope with cancer, recently announced its ninth annual Project Easter Bunny.

This effort was started by floydwarri­ors.com founder Lisa Morahan after experienci­ng Easter Sunday 2009 too ill to make one basket for her son while in chemothera­py.

Over the past eight years, thousands of Easter baskets have been created and donated to several oncology centers across the Capital Region. The project’s mission is that every child with a sick parent has a beautiful basket to enjoy

Donations of new toys and new, wrapped candy are needed at the following locations between March 6 and 16: CR Wood Center of Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Spa State Park Parks Office Building, Mollie Wilmot Center of Saratoga Hospital, Malta Community Center, all 14 Ballston Spa National Bank locations, the Hope Club of Latham and NBT Banks of Guilderlan­d New Karner Road and Albany Wolf Road.

All donations will be collected, assembled into baskets on March 24 and delivered to area oncology centers and cancer support centers in time for Easter.
