WATERBURY, Conn. >> Senior midfielder Matt Graham (Poughquag, N.Y./ Arlington) totaled fourstraig­ht goals in a 6:41third quarter stretch to help The College of Saint Rose men’s lacrosse team earn a 14-5 non-conference win at Post on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Knights (1-2) outscored Post 7-1in the third quarter and 11-2after intermissi­on in their first win of the season. Graham finished with six goals on just nine shots to match Brett McAuliffe ’14(Roberts Wesleyan, 4/ 7/2012) for most by Saint Rose player in a single-game. He now sits tied for second in program annals with 106career points.

After sophomore attack Jordyn Marchiano (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) plotted his second goal just 43seconds into the third quarter, Graham took over. The Golden Knights co-captain con-

verted a feed from freshman attack Jack Pemrick (Greenwich, N.Y./Green

wich) 70seconds later. At the 4:57mark, Graham finished off a Pemrick dish before scoring unassisted just 32ticks after. Following an Eagles’ tally, Saint Rose scored twice in 30seconds. Sophomore defenseman Reed Chronis (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) netted his first collegiate goal before Graham rocketed home his fifth of the quarter. In addition to Chronis, numerous Golden Knights achieved collegiate firsts. Sophomore midfielder Kyle Gainer (Minisink Valley, N.Y./ Minisink Valley/Coastal Carolina) and freshman attack Liam Knehr (Glen Head, N.Y./ North Shore) netted their first goals as Golden Knights during a 3-3first half. Pemrick had a pair of helpers and Knehr had one during the third quarter. Junior attack Carter Badour (Ottawa, Canada/Hill Academy) added a goal and two assists, while freshman midfielder John Loughlin (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) fired two into the net. The duo of junior midfielder Nicolas Johnson (Canandaigu­a, N.Y./Canandaigu­a Academy) and senior midfielder Lucas Frese (Coeymans Hollow, N.Y./ CBA) combined to win 16of-22face-offs. Johnson won eight of the nine that he took. Junior goalie Liam Guiton (Penfield, N.Y./ Penfield) stopped 12Eagle shots in goal.

The Eagles (0-4) received two goals from senior attack Frank Nichols Jr. and three assists from junior attack Sean Olsen.

The Golden Knights are scheduled to host Florida Southern on Friday at 3p.m.
