World Ski Pro Tour in Colorado

-

Word in from Craig Marshall, executive director of sales and marketing for the reinstituted World Pro Ski Tour, says the tour will be at Snowmass, Colorado this weekend for the first time in 20 years, with 30 world competitors in a dual alpine ski race format.

According to Marshall, “2018 Olympian Nolan Kasper of Warren, Vermont, just back from Pyeongchang, Korea, will be defending his title and claim the $10,000 prize offered at Snowmass.”

What makes this event special for local skiers, is that Glens Falls native, Jake Jacobs, 24, son of John and Susan Jacobs, and grandson of former Olympian, the late Tom Jacobs, founder of Reliable Racing in Glens Falls, will be competing against the top field of pro racers. Other eastern based pro racers include James Marshall, Carrabassett, Maine, Kei Kullberg, Cornwall, New York, and Tucker Marshall, Pittsfield, Vermont, and Robert Kelley,

Starksboro, VT.

Incidentally. Kasper won the White Mountain Dual Challenge in February at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire.
