TIMOTHY J. RYAN

NORTH GREENBUSH - Timothy J. Ryan, 71, of North Greenbush, entered into eternal life on Wednesday morning March 7, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Francis and Helen French Ryan and the beloved husband of 46 years to Mary Anne Giordano Ryan. Mr. Ryan was a graduate of LaSalle Institute Class of 1964 and then Hudson Valley Community College Class of 1966, upon completing his studies he joined the U.S. Army and served our country in Vietnam. Returning home Mr. Ryan accepted a position with the N.Y.S. Dept. of Equalization and Assessment where he remained until his retirement. Tim enjoyed staying busy he was Coordinator of design and construction for the Rensselaer County Vietnam Veterans Memorial, as well as the past commander for the American Legion Post 1489 and a member of the V.F.W. Post 7466. He was a longtime fan of the Chicago Bears but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Mary Anne include his children; Timothy F. (Kim) Ryan and Keri Anne (Harold) Stern, his sister; Patricia Murray and his grandchildren; Macey, Anna, T.J. And Sophia who affectionately called him “Pop”. Tim was pre deceased by his granddaughter Madison and his brothers; Francis, William and Daniel Ryan. He is also survived by several brother and sister in laws, cousins and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 pm in St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wynantskill with Fr. Anthony Ligato officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday morning from 10 am – 1 pm at St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Ave Wynantskill, NY .
