Season passes for course available

TROY, N.Y. » Local golfers can now purchase season passes for Frear Park Municipal Golf Course.

Troy Mayor Patrick Madden recently announced that season passes for Frear Park Municipal Golf Course are officially available for purchase at the Frear Park Pro Shop, located at 2701 Lavin Ct., Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

With spring around the corner, golfers will be able to play at Frear Park, the city’s 247acre golf course and recreation­al space located between Route 40 and N. Lake Avenue.

“Over the last 87 years, Troy’s Frear Park has grown to become one of the Capital District’s most popular golf destinatio­ns. Recent updates and improvemen­ts to the course will ensure a highqualit­y experience for golfers of all ages and ability levels. We look forward to welcoming players back for another successful season,” Madden said in a news release.

Season passes are offered in a variety of options, with discounted rates available for Troy residents. Prices are as follows:

• Married Couples Resident — $900 Non-Resident — $1,450

• Single Resident — $650 Non-Resident — $950

• Senior (60 and over) Resident — $450 Non-Resident — $650

• Junior (under 18) Resident — $225 Non-Resident — $450 Troy residents also qualify for a daily discount on greens fees with purchase of a Resident Recreation­al ID Card. Cards can be purchased at the Pro Shop for $25 with proof of residency (a state-issued driver’s license, copy of a cable or telephone bill will be accepted). Issued resident ID cards will be subject to annual renewal.
