ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH INFORMATION SESSION: Empire Neurology P.C. will host an information session for people interested in healthy aging, Alzheimer’s disease, prevention, and research opportunities. Dr. Keith Edwards will show how you can get involved in prevention research and describe study opportunities that are available at Empire Neurology. Participants will have the opportunity to join GeneMatch, a program of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Registry. Kathy Sheehan, Rensselaer County & Troy City Historian, will discuss the early abolitionist movement in Troy and how Peter Baltimore became a leader in that struggle. Stacy Pomeroy Draper, RCHS Curator/Archivist. will discuss the watercolor portrait of Baltimore and Its importance as an iconic piece of Troy’s history. Photojournalist Clifford Oliver will discuss the related photo album that includes rare images of members of the Baltimore and Henry families of Troy and Whitehall. slide presentation by Prof./ Cav. Philip J. DiNovo and a short film about St. Joseph Day traditions.
