PASTORAL CARE WORKSHOP: A Pastoral Care Ministry Formation & Skill Building six-week workshop “Pastoral Visitation to the Sick, Elderly and Homebound,” will be held Tuesdays, 6:30p.m. - 8:30 p.m., from April 5– May 10 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonvill­e. 120˙ INTERCOLLE­GIATE REGIONAL EXHIBITION: The Art Center of the Capital Region announces the 120˙ Intercolle­giate Regional Exhibition, a traveling exhibition of collegiate artwork from students within a 120mile radius of Troy, Saratoga Spring and Glens Falls. The exhibition­s runs from March 30- April 20in the Main Gallery, 265River Street, Troy. The reception will be held on Friday, March 30from 5p.m. - 9p.m. as part of Troy Night Out. On Tuesday, May 1, Catholic Charities TriCounty Services is inaugurati­ng A Place at the Table, a luncheon to benefit these five programs. This event will offer you a glimpse into the world our clients navigate every day. A compelling program will be offered illustrati­ng the needs within our communitie­s and how Catholic Charities is making real difference­s in people’s lives. CHEFS CHALLENGE: Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region for its Chef’s Challenge on Thursday, May 24. This annual fundraiser will feature seven restaurant­s, each making a signature dish to compete in the People’s Choice food competitio­n. Each dish will be paired with a signature cocktail or beverage. Guests will try each dish and vote for their favorite. Excelsior Springs, located at 47Excelsio­r Avenue in Saratoga Springs, will host the event from 6:30p.m. to 10:00p.m. Young profession­al tickets (under 30y.o.) cost $50, general admission is $75, date night tickets (2tickets) cost $112.50and honorary committee tickets cost $150. HOLY WEEK: St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 600State Street, (corner of State and Lafayette Streets), Schenectad­y, announces its Holy Week Schedule. Palm Sunday Weekend Masses with the blessing and distributi­on of palms will be held on Saturday, March 24, at 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 25, at 9:30a.m. On Holy Thursday, March 29, the Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at 5:30p.m., followed by the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament to the Repository. The Church will be open until 10p.m. for public adoration. There will not be a 12:15p.m. Mass on this day. On Good Friday, March 30, the Church will open at noon for private meditation with The Seven Last Words at 12:15p.m.; Stations of the Cross at 2:30p.m. and The Liturgy of the Passion and Death of our Lord, including Veneration of the Cross and a Holy Communion Service at 3p.m. On Holy Saturday, March 31will be the Blessing of Easter Foods at 11 a.m. and the Easter Vigil Service – the Mass of the Resurrecti­on at 7:30p.m. There will not be a 5:30p.m. Mass. On Easter Sunday, April 1, the Mass of the Resurrecti­on will be offered at 9:30a.m.

ALBANY CAN CODE: Albany Can Code, a nonprofit focused on creating a new generation of software coders in the Capital Region, has opened registrati­on for a new course being offered this spring. The Automated Web Testing course is being offered for the first time through a new partnershi­p with Hudson Valley Community College. It will serve individual­s who want to work in software, but not necessaril­y in website design and developmen­t. Classes start April 5and meet on Thursday evenings from 6p.m. - 8p.m. for 10 weeks at the HVCC campus in Troy. Tuition is $400. BASIC DRAWING CLASS

ES: Local artist Monica Bill Hughes will conduct a series of four Basic Drawing Classes on Mondays from March 19- April 9at 6p.m. at the Troy Public Library’s Main location, 100Second Street. This beginner friendly workshop will help you develop skills in sketching objects from observatio­n, starting with simple forms which become the foundation for understand­ing more complex objects. The North Colonie School District Transporta­tion Department announces that request forms for transporta­tion to non-public schools for students in grades K-12 for the 2017-18school year are now available. These forms are required to be completed each year and filed with the district’s transporta­tion department no later than April 1.
