SCOTIA - JoAnn (Bromirski) Cottrell, 74, passed away on March 15, 2018, due to complicati­ons associated with a heart condition at Ellis Hospital. Born in Hoosick Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony “Tony” and Amelia Bromirski, and a sister to her late brothers, Anthony “Ski” (Rita) Bromirski, Jr., Edward (Harriett) and John “Mick” (Martha) Bromirski. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and Spencer Business School. In life, nothing was more important to JoAnn than friends and family, whom she devoted herself entirely. In addition to her parents and brothers, JoAnn was predecease­d by her beloved daughters, Rosemary “Rosie” Cottrell and Ruthie Ann Cottrell; brotherin-law, Jonathan Cottrell and nephew, Stephen Bromirski. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Roger Cottrell of Amsterdam; her daughter, Christine (Mark) Tommasone of Amsterdam and grandson, Curtis Tommasone of Gaithersbu­rg, MD. JoAnn is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Donald (Mary Jo) Cottrell of Pleasant Valley, NY, Lawrence “Larry” (Cheryl) Cottrell of Niskayuna, and sisterin-law, Carolyn “Kay” Cottrell of Morrisvill­e, PA; 21 nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. The White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia followed by a Funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
