WYNANTSKIL­L - Michael J. Marchese, Sr., 85, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his residence after a brief illness. Born and raised in Troy, he was son of the late John Marchese and Mary Nusco Marchese and husband for 66 years of Jane King Marchese. Mike had resided in Wynantskil­l since 1953 and was a 1950 graduate of Troy High School. Mr. Marchese was a Precision Steel Cutter for Al Tech Specialty Steel in Watervliet for 42 years retiring in the 1970’s. He later worked at Country True Value in North Greenbush for 14 years. He was a proud lifetime member of the Wynantskil­l Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks #141 and voted ‘Elk of the Year’ in June of 2010. He was also a member of the Troy Youth Hockey Associatio­n. Survivors in addition to his wife, Jane, include his children, Barbara (Jack) Stemp, Wynantskil­l, Michael J. Marchese, Jr., Wynantskil­l, and Douglas R. (Christina) Marchese, Clifton Park; his 4 grandchild­ren, Peter (Kelly) Melaragno, Zachary Stemp, Katie Marchese, Lauren (William) Stemp; his 11 great grandchild­ren, Abagail, Nicholas, Stephen, Anna, Aubrielle, Olivia, Jackson,William, Dominick, Gabrielle, and Madison; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predecease­d by his sister, Josephine (William) VanPatten. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, March 25, 2918 from 4 - 7PM. Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church State and Third Streets Troy with Rev. Michael Gorchov, Rector, officiatin­g. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskil­l. In lieu of flowers contributi­ons may be made in memory of Michael J.
