RUTH T. REED

TROY - Ruth T. Reed, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital embraced by her loving family. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Gladys Jones Foy and beloved wife of the late Edward Roberts and Raymond E. Reed. In her younger years, Ruth attended St. Patrick’s school in Troy, and proudly received her CNA from Hudson Valley Community College later in life. She retired from being a Certified Home Health Aide, but enjoyed being a Bartender for many years before that. Ruth loved to do oil painting, ceramics, but most of all, she loved life and being with her family. She is survived by her children; Susan (Maurice) Jeanson, Rebecca (Richard) Zakrzewski, David Roberts, Stephen Roberts, Timothy (Paige) Reed, Thomas Reed, Theodore (Suzette) Reed, Trudy (Dewey) Reed, Tamara (Douglas) Bogue. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband Edward and Raymond she was predeceased by her son Terence Reed, and her siblings; James, William and J. Larry Foy, Mildred Mackey, Joan Beston, Dorothy Wilbur, Irma Terry, and Barbara Danko. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd., Friday morning, May 4, at 8:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Church of the Holy Trinity at 9:00 am.
