Comfort Cuisine set for Thursday
Event at Brown’s Revolution Hall
TROY, N.Y. » The Troy Boys & Girls Club will host its seventh annual Comfort Cuisine from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Brown’s Revolution Hall, 425 River St.
Comfort Cuisine is a gourmet food tasting and competition where local teams are challenged to bake the region’s best pie. Guests will be treated to food and dessert samples, music, a wine pull, greenscreen photo booth, silent auction and more.
Participating culinary teams are expected to include 99 Restaurant & Pub, Ama Cocina, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Brick House Tavern & Tap, Brown’s Brewing Co., Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Dinosaur Bar-BQue, Famous Lunch, Kareem Jandali, Muddaddy Flats Quesadillary, O’Brien’s Public House, Park Pub, Patricelli’s Deli & Catering, Sonic Drive-In, Testo’s Restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, The Eatery at Carol’s Place, the Rensselaer at Hilton Garden Inn-Troy, Trader Joe’s and Troy Boys & Girls Club – Elvira Ford.
“Every year we have wonderful culinary teams that donate their time and service to assure that all of our guest walk out with a full stomach,” said Troy Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Patrick Doyle.
Doyle said the event not only helps support youth programs at the club, but it also serves as a way to inform the public about programs and services offered at the club.
Organizers said by participating in this event, people help support the club’s mission of providing safe places and positive programs for at-risk youth during out- ofschool time.
“We are looking to raise $10,000 for the Troy Boys & Girls Club, but more importantly we are looking to let the community know more about our programs for youth,” said Doyle.
Tickets are $25 in advance or 5 for $100 and general admission for youth 18 and under is $5, with proceeds to benefit the club’s summer programs and youth services.
