Fundraiser aids Troy club
TROY, N.Y. » Brown’s Revolution Hall on River Street in downtown Troy was filled Thursday night with people supporting the Troy Boys & Girls Club.
The Troy Boys & Girls Club hosted its seventh annual Comfort Cuisine for three hours Thursday night.
Comfort Cuisine is a gourmet food tasting and competition where local teams are challenged to bake the region’s best pie. Guests were treated to food and dessert samples, music, a wine pull, green-screen photo booth, silent auction and more.
Participating culinary teams included 99 Restaurant & Pub, Ama Cocina, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Brick House Tavern & Tap, rabba’s Bar-B-Que, reem Quesadillary, House, Brown’sdaddy Italian Park Famous Brewing Pub, O’Brien’s Grill, Patricelli’s Lunch, Dinosaur Co., Public Flats Car- KaDeli In, Roadhouse, Testo’s & Catering, Restaurant, Sonic Eatery Drive- at
Carol’s at Hilton Place, Garden The Rensselaer Inn-Troy, Trader Joe’s and Troy Boys & Girls Club — Elvira Ford.
Three different awards were given out based on votes of guests in attendance, one for the People’s Choice award, one for Best Dish and one for Best Dessert.

The People’s Choice award went Carol’s Place on Pawling Avenue in Troy, with the Best Dish going to 99 Restaurant, and Best Dessert was awarded to The Rensselaer at Hilton Garden Inn-Troy.
Organizers said that they were hoping to raise roughly $10,000 during the annual event.
