Pair face charges
WATERVLIET, N.Y. » A road rage incident led to a pair from Watervliet being arrested, state police say.
Phillip O. Quandt Jr., 50, and Kristen P. Wright, 51, were each charged with second- degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing, both misdemeanors.
The incident occurred May 10 at about 3:11 p.m., beginning in the westbound lanes on Alternate Route 7 in the town of Colonie, police said. The incident continued, first northbound then southbound, on Interstate 87 and resulted in a vehicle being intentionally damaged, police said.
Investigators with the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Latham have arrested Phillip O. Quandt Jr., 50, and Kristen P. Wright, 51, following an investigation into a reported road rage incident occurring on May 10 at approximately 3:11 p.m.
Both were arraigned in the Colonie Town Court where an order of protection was issued for the complainants.
Quandt was sent to the Albany County Jail on $10,000 bail. Wright was sent to the Albany County Jail on $5,000 bail. Each is scheduled to re-appear in court on a later date.
The investigation into this incident is continuing, police said.
