Pair face charges

WATERVLIET, N.Y. » A road rage incident led to a pair from Watervliet being arrested, state police say.

Phillip O. Quandt Jr., 50, and Kristen P. Wright, 51, were each charged with second- degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree reckless endangerme­nt and second-degree menacing, both misdemeano­rs.

The incident occurred May 10 at about 3:11 p.m., beginning in the westbound lanes on Alternate Route 7 in the town of Colonie, police said. The incident continued, first northbound then southbound, on Interstate 87 and resulted in a vehicle being intentiona­lly damaged, police said.

Investigat­ors with the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigat­ion in Latham have arrested Phillip O. Quandt Jr., 50, and Kristen P. Wright, 51, following an investigat­ion into a reported road rage incident occurring on May 10 at approximat­ely 3:11 p.m.

Both were arraigned in the Colonie Town Court where an order of protection was issued for the complainan­ts.

Quandt was sent to the Albany County Jail on $10,000 bail. Wright was sent to the Albany County Jail on $5,000 bail. Each is scheduled to re-appear in court on a later date.

The investigat­ion into this incident is continuing, police said.
