PETERSBURGH, N.Y. » Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin announced the second RensCo on the Road initiative, which will help bring county government into communities across the county during 2018. The Petersburgh RensCo on the Road follows the inaugural RensCo on the Road, held on March 6 in Brunswick.

“These RensCo on the Road events are a way to bring county government closer to the people. These forums show the services, programs and functions that are provided by county government to our residents,” said McLaughlin. “At the RensCo on the Road events, residents can meet with elected officials and department heads, ask questions and learn more about the work done on their behalf. We invite residents to join us on June 5.”

The second RensCo on the Road will be held at the Petersburgh Memorial Hall, 71 Main Street, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free of charge.

Participating in the event will be service providers i ncluding the county Department for the Aging, Department of Social Services, Employment and Training, Health Department, Probation Department, Veterans Service Agency, Youth Department and other services and departments.

The RensCo on the Road resource fair initiative was promised by McLaughlin last year when he was seeking the office of County Executive.
