MARY A. MCKEEVER

TROY - Mary A. McKeever, 86, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor with her daughter in attendance. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Laura I. (Dorr) McDermott and the wife of the late Joseph A. McKeever. Mary was a graduate of St. John’s Academy in Rensselaer and took courses at HVCC. She had been employed previously by Mobile Oil Company and retired in 1993 from the New York State Department of Tax and Finance. After retiring, Mary traveled to numerous places with her husband and loved bowling, playing bocci, walking, playing cards, and traveling. She was a communicant of Saint Michael the Archangel Church. Mary was a member of AARP, Sycaway Seniors, East Side Seniors, Wynantskill Seniors, and a member of the Troy Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Her latest interest was playing dominoes and mah-jong with friends at Eastwyck Village. Mary is survived by a daughter, Maureen Regan and her husband, David; two grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlyn; a sister, Jane Smith; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the church Monday from 9 until 9:50 a.m. prior to the service. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus at St. Dominic’s Church, 2390 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA 94115.
