Get ready for River Fest
Showcasing curated, local hand-made goods and cuisine in an open-air bazaar
TROY, N.Y. » The 15th Annual River Fest will take place on Saturday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., situated in the scenic, historic downtown district. The streets will host family-friendly entertainment and over 60 craft, art, and food vendors, in addition to Troy’s shops, restaurants and historic venues. For the first time ever, River Fest will take place alongside the Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market, extending onto neighboring streets, creating many areas to peruse, explore and enjoy. Visitors will also be able to enjoy locally brewed craft beer and beverages in outdoor beer garden areas during the festival,a news release said.
With the Hudson River as a significant part of Troy’s history, Troy River Fest is an organic, grassroots fest designed to mimic the flow of the river by encouraging visitors to ramble throughout the streets of downtown Troy, the release said. Visitors can enjoy everything from face painting, butterscotch beer and kettle corn to vegan grilled cheese and Punjab eggplant rice bowls. Live jazz, folk rock and DJ latin and pop sounds will fill the streets. Learn from local organizations, sample products, and enjoy unique handmade items from
the areas talented artisans, makers and crafters.
