GANSEVOORT - William H. Weisenfort­h Sr., 83, of Northern Pines Rd. and a long time Clifton Park resident died Tuesday June 19, 2018 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late William F. and Lillian Rettinger Weisenfort­h. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy. Bill worked for 25 years at Norton Co. in Watervliet and retired in 1995. He was a member of the United Papermaker­s and Paperworke­rs Union. He was a veteran of the US Army and US Navy. Bill was Leather Craftsman having made belts, wallets, purses and motorcycle saddlebags. He especially enjoyed camping, also, riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting and listening to Country Music. Survivors include his wife Georgiana Coty Weisenfort­h, his children Shelley Norton of Apex, NC and William H. Weisenfort­h Jr. of Clifton Park and his step children, Edward Gage of Hudson Falls and Curtis Gage of Valatie. He is the brother of Joan Tolles of Princetown and the late Janet Contois. He is the proud grandfathe­r of Chelsie Powell (Greg) and Kimberly Norton and great grandfathe­r of Wesley Rose. Several step grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Friday at 12:30 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford. Interment will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday prior to the funeral service from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
