LORRAINE CONNORS
Lorraine M Connors, 82 died Monday, July 02, 2018 peacefully after a long illness with dementia. Born in Troy, NY Lorraine was the daughter of Leona (Clickner) and Francis Spotten. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, James Connors, Sr., brother, Francis Spotten, Jr., sisters, Leona Dellio and Barbara Skac. Lorraine was a graduate of St.Mary’s School for the deaf in Buffalo, NY where she was a member of the basketball team, a cheerleader and also an avid handball and ping pong player. She was an active member for many years with the (Albany chapter) association for the deaf. Lorraine worked for Unifirst Corporation where she retired after 20 years of service. Lorraine’s passion was her family; she enjoyed spending time with her children grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching old movies, putting together puzzles and her teapot collection. Above all else Lorraine was a very loving devoted mother who took great pride in her children and never missed a moment of opportunity to spend with them. She was always a present and prominent figure in their lives and will be missed immensely. Survivors include her daughters, Eva Connors, Edna Flynn both of Troy, daughter, Christine (Raymond) Sellick of Cobleskill and son, James Connors, Jr. of Cobleskill, grandchildren, Amanda Connors and Laurie Connors both of Troy and great grandchildren, Jacob Herald and Elliana Romeo both of Troy. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, July 06, 2018 at Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY at 1:00 P.M. Donations can be made in Lorraine’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (alzfdn.org) and to the National Association of the Deaf (nad.org).
