LINDA CREIGHTON

-

Troy- Linda E. Creighton, 67, passed away on July 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family and her ever faithful dog Rosie O’ Crazy. She was born on October 28, 1950 daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie Mace. Linda grew up in Troy and graduated from Catholic High School. She and her husband Mike lived in Waterford where they raised their family. Linda worked at her family business, Cliff’s Country Inn, until her retirement. It was there that she earned her nickname “Linda Belle” and treasured working alongside her sister and best friend Kathy and so many others that she came to know and love. Linda was extremely creative, she was known as the family’s artist and storyteller. Her writings could make you both laugh and cry. She made everyone laugh with her outrageous sense of humor. Linda had such a deep love for life and people. Upon her illness she became committed to bringing those around her even closer together. Her friends always became her family, especially her favorite trio, Katie Barlow, Beverly Custer and Betty Catherwood-Alix. Her favorite holiday was Halloween. She spent a great deal of time making the perfect costume and nothing made her happier than trick-or-treating with her grandchildren. She was most often the brightest light in any room. She will be remembered by all anytime a Rod Stewart song is heard. She is survived by her husband and love of her life, Michael Creighton; her daughters, Melissa Creighton ( Bryan Lamansky), Traci Creighton ( Joseph Thibodeau); grandchildren, Emily Peltier, Matthew Peltier and Samuel Thibodeau; siblings, Kathy (Cliff) Barlow, Debbie (Tom) Prince, Frank (Donna) Mace and Jodi (Billy) Mather; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She is joined in heaven with her beloved dog Harley. At Linda’s request there are to be tears of joy only. Her family invites all those that love her to attend a celebration of life at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 from 4-7pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
