Cohoes: Frederick C. Elliott, 94, of Miller Ave. in Cohoes, passed away Thursday, July 5 at his residence. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Frederick G. and Frances Dormandy Elliott and beloved husband of the late Theresa Parent Elliott.

Fred was a lifelong area resident, he graduated from Lansingbur­gh High School and attended Siena College. Fred was a proud WW II Navy Veteran and was decorated in honor with the American Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific ribbon and the WW II Victory Medal. He was employed as a production clerk with General Electric. Fred was an accomplish­ed and talented musician; he was in a band and played bass guitar at various establishm­ents throughout the Capital District. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeannette (Oreste A. “Rusty”) Elliott-Camerota of Cohoes, son, David F. (Michele) Elliott of E. Nassau, grandchild­ren, Matthew E. (Donna) Krutka, Lisa (Joseph) Krutka Gorman, Kiki (Holly) Fiato, David A. Elliott, Timothy J. (Kristen) Elliott and William F. Elliott, several great grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by his sisters, Bertha Wescott and Edith Hughes.

A service will be held in the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd 105 Vliet Blvd Tuesday evening at 7:00 with Pastor Kaitlyn Wood officiatin­g.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-7 pm prior to the service.

Interment with military honors will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waterford, Wednesday morning at 10:00.
