ValleyCats to wear Ravenclaw jerseys Wednesday

TROY, NY » On Wednesday, July 18, the Tri- City ValleyCats will wear “Ravenclaw” Harry Potter jerseys at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium as they take on the Brooklyn Cyclones, the minor league affiliate of the New York Mets.

The jerseys will be raffled off during the game, with all proceeds going towards Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region. The raffle winners will receive their jerseys off the players backs on the field following the game.

“We are humbled to have the support of the ValleyCats. From their founding, they have been a generous partner raising funds and introducin­g new supporters to our cause,” Jeff Yule, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region said. “Last year’s raffle was a big success and we hope to see a lot of RMHC friends at the game and at the raffle table!”

“We’re proud and excited to continue our partnershi­p with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region,” ValleyCats Assistant General Manager Michelle Skinner said. “It’s shaping up to be a great night at ‘ The Joe,’ going toward a great cause.”

Fans can buy raffle tickets as they enter the ballpark, with one ticket for $5, or five tickets for $20. Another option is for fans to purchase the ValleyCats’ mug- gle ticket package, which includes a premium box ticket, jersey raffle ticket, and a golden snitch for just $20.

First pitch for the game will take place at 7 p.m., with gates opening to “The Joe” at 6 p.m.
