Shen picked up the league win Tuesday thanks to two goal performanc­es by Jaylin Sykes and Eric Makhatadze. Sean Nolan, Ethan Brunell, and Zach Merritt each added a goal to the dominant win for Shen.

BETHLEHEM 4, BURNT HILLS 0>>

Bethlehem was led by Gabe Kaprielian who scored in the first half and Derrin Gumustop who scored three goals this Tuesday afternoon.

ALBANY 4, CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY 3>>

CBA fell to Albany Tuesday despite a two goal performanc­e from Wyatt Leto. Brady Van Epps added a goal of his own.

NISKAYUNA 5, BALLSTON SPA 1>>

Niskayuna visited Ballston Spa on Tuesday afternoon. Jeff Matthews scored for Ballston, assisted by Ethan Cook, in the first two minutes of play. Unfortunat­ely, Ballston wasn’t able to put another point on the board and Niskayuna came away with a 5-1win.

SHAKER 1, AVERILL PARK 1>>

Shaker and Averill Park battled to a 1-1tie in the heat on Tuesday Averill Park got on the board first when Logan Bielawski scored on a free kick from just outside the box 15minutes into the game. Five minutes later Jack Cheney sent a long ball to Stephen Guidi who fired in a cross that was tucked into the back of the net by Ian Wu. Both teams had several chances and opportunit­ies, including nine Shaker corners, but neither team was able to capitalize.

ALBANY ACADEMY 2, LASALLE 1>>

Albany Academy’s Niko Moutopoulo­s scored both goals for Albany Academy on Tuesday. LaSalle’s Shane Derrick scored the lone goal from an assist by Sam Haita.

Academy used a trio of keepers, Ethan Duda, Hudson Flynn and Chirs Hanchar for one combined goal. LaSalle’s Anthony Rotello turned back two shots.

HUDSON FALLS, SOUTH GLENS FALLS >>

Hudson Falls dropped South Glens Falls, 2-1in Foothills Council action Tuesday afternoon. It was the first win by the Tigers over the Bulldogs since 2002.

James Prakelt and Alex Varney tallied goals for Hudson Falls (20, 3-0). Andrew King scored for South High (2-1, 2-3).

SHUYLERVIL­LE 6, GLENS FALLS 4>>

Schuylervi­lle beat Glens Falls behind a hot start from Michael Lanfear who scored two goals in the first 11minutes to pace the Black Horses to their second foothills win of the season.

Christian Petralia opened the scoring just a minute in splitting the defense and finishing at point blank range. Lanfear would get his first two in quick succession, the first off a loose ball in the goalie box. The second off a slick feed thru the defense from Zach Saddlemire. Ian Winchell would get the fourth goal for Schuylervi­lle in the 28th minute. Winchell would score again in the 52nd minute off a pass from Michael Lanfear. Lanfear would finish his hat trick in the 55th minute.

HOOSIC FALLS 6, GALWAY 0>>

Hoosic Fall’s non league win over Galway Tuesday was propelled by a hat trick performanc­e from Phoebe Thompson. Along with Thompson’s performanc­e, Grace Wysocki scored two goals and Olivia Brownell added one of her own. Galway goalkeeper Ruth Reinhard made five saves.

NISKAYUNA 3, BALLSTON SPA 0>>

Niskayuna’s Suburban Council win Tuesday afternoon was piloted by Ally Ross’ two goal performanc­e in the second half against Ballston Spa. Johanna Stevenson scored the first Niskayuna goal in the first half for the eventual game winning goal. Niskayuna’s Layla Abdoun and Emma Anderson combined for four saves. Ballston Spa goalkeeper Shaylee Andress made seven saves.

BETHLEHEM 7, BURNT HILLS 1>>

The Eagles put 25shots on goal in the home Suburban Council contest Tuesday afternoon, led by Ruth Hotaling with two goals and an assist in the win and Beatrice Jones providing two assists for the Eagles.

GUILDERLAN­D 3, TROY 0>>

Guilderlan­d swept Troy in their second home game of the season Tuesday afternoon. Set scores were 25-16, 25-10, 25-23. Guilderlan­d’s Morgan Manning had eigh assists, one kill, and one ace. Nicole McGrath added four kills and an ace. Katherine Psoinos racked up four kills. Troy’s Nadia Brown had six digs, one kill, and one ace. Isabella Bevevino had three kills and five digs. Sophia DiNova had ten assists, six digs, and two aces.

MOHONASEN 3. ICHABOD CRANE 0>>

Mohonasen swept Ichabod Crane Tuesday afternoon. Set scores were 25-11, 25-14, 25-22. Mohonasen’s Bryannah Green had 16aces and 13assists. Natalie Blackstone had five kills and Hailey Deguire had eight digs.

Averill Park becomes 2-1thanks to the sweep over Shaker Tues- day afternoon. Shaker falls to 0-3. Set scores were 25-13, 2515, 25-15. Averill Park’s Kelsey Wood had eight kills, Jackie Borland six kills, and Emma Crawley had 19assists.

LANSINGBUR­GH 3, CATHOLIC CENTRAL 1>>

Lansingbur­gh almost completed the sweep Tuesday against Catholic Central, but had to use four sets to earn the win. Set scores were 25-15, 25-11, 25-27, and 27-25. Lansingbur­gh’s Carissa Skaarup had 12kills and three aces. Monica Kownack had 12aces and Katie Jerominek had ten kills and three aces. Catholic Central’s Adrianna Scaringe had ten digs and five aces.

BALLSTON SPA 3, NISKAYUNA 1>>

Ballston Spa stays undefeated, now at 3-0, after their win Tuesday over Niskayuna. Set scores were 25-20, 25-19, 18-25, and 25-13. Ballston Spa’s Mean McMahon had 20assists and two aces. Paige Davis racked up ten digs and Liza Balet added six blocks. Trinity Kelsey had seven kills and two aces. Niskayuna falls to 2-1. Stefana Stan had 18kills and four aces. ALBANY ACADEMY 3, COHOES 1>> Albany Academy for Girls earned a 3-1 win over Cohoes Tuesday afternoon.

BURNT HILLS 15, ALBANY 50, AVERILL PARK 50, TROY INC >>

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake harriers swept the top seven spots Tuesday afternoon in a league meet with Troy, Albany and Averill Park.

Nick Hunziker and Tyler Berge covered the course in 15minutes, 50seconds with Evan Brennan and Aidan Gillooley one second behind at 15:51. Mikhail Troyan came in at 15:56with Dante Ubrianco in at 16:00and Kevin Borand in at 16:05.

Jason Eveleth was the top Falcon across, finishing ninth at 16:53. Sean Malenfant was the top Warrior across at 17:17and Noah Bonesteel next at 17:23in 12th place.

BURNT HILLS 17, AVERILL PARK 42/ BURNT HILLS 15, ALBANY 50, TROY INC >>

Rory Graham captured the girls title for Burnt Hills, covering the course in 18:11 followed by Albany’s Natalie Penna and Elli Strich at 19:02. Brianna Dollar followed at 19:43. Madison Whited was the next Spartan across at 19:52followed by Albany’s Daila Levy at 20:20. Burnt Hills’ Madison Smith was seventh at 20:12and Averill Park’s Logan Barsalow next at 20:18. Ana LeClair was ninth at 21:09and Hannah Lewis was 10th across at 21:27.

MAPLE HILL 11.5, CAIRO-DURHAM .50>>

The Maple Hill golf squad dropped Cairo-Durham 11.5to .5at Pheasant Hollow Golf Course.

John Russell shot a 6-over 43 to earn his second sectional qualifying score of the season with Erik Burnts earning medalist honors and pushed the match play. Jeff Huskie shot a seasonbest 50for the Wildcats.

NISKAYUNA 6, BALLSTON SPA 3>>

Ballston Spa’s Angelene Robert dropped Niskayuna’s Anjalee Modasra, 6-1, 7-6( 7-3) for the lone singles win for the Scotties.

Ballston Spa’s doubles team of Meghan Heeney and Hannah Cook along with the pair of Amanda Parsons and Kelsey Mahoney earned doubles win versus Niskayuna in Suburban Council action Tuesday.

SCOTIA- GLENVILLE 7, GREENWICH 0>>

Scotia-Glenville swept Greenwich at home Tuesday afternoon in non-league action.
