Six Questions with Will and Anthony Nunziata: International twin brother tenors Will and Anthony Nunziata are bringing their act to the Capital Region with a special upcoming concert at The Mansion Inn. The Nunziatas are set to perform at 6p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20as part of The Mansion’s 801Supper Club series at the 801Rt. 29 venue in Rock City Falls. Before the brothers make their way upstate for the Supper Club show, they shared a bit of their history and what’s next for the dynamic duo.

1 Where are you from? Did you guys grow up singing together? Anthony: We were born in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Staten Island, lived in Brooklyn before moving to Pelham Manor, NY. Dad was always singing to us as kids, music was always playing in our house.

2 Seems like you’ve done a lot of touring - have you ever performed in the Spa City area before?

Will: We are making our Saratoga Springs debut! Anthony: This will be our first time performing in Saratoga Springs! We have performed at the beautiful Charles Wood Theater in Glens Falls, and have been coming up to Whitehall for years performing for the community and with the local high school choir. The Putorti Family in Whitehall is like a second family to us, we went to school with Matthew and ever since then, we take yearly trips up there to hang out with the entire family.

3 What can the audience expect at your upcoming local show? Will: We will be singing our favorite songs from Broadway, the American Songbook, as well as originals to be featured on our upcoming album. Anthony: We will be performing a mix of Broadway, pop standards, and some movie-bound original songs. We will be bringing up our Broadway musical director Eugene Gwozdz - he’s a one man orchestra and we have a fun repartee with him on stage.

4 What can you share about your upcoming release? Anthony: We are putting final touches on the album now and it will be available at the live concert! Excited that I’m a co-writer on eight of the songs; we have included fresh takes on some classic songs including Charlie Chaplin’s “Smile” with world-renowned violinist Caroline Campbell and a full orchestral arrangement of a mash-up between “Unchained Melody” and Adele’s “Someone Like You.” At the concert the arrangements will be just piano, allowing the audience to really full the songs in a more intimate way.

5 I hear you’re in a big upcoming Netflix comedy too? What was that experience like?

Will: It was a blast to work alongside two of my comedy heroes, Richard Dreyfuss and Chevy Chase. Anthony: Our scene with Chevy Chase and Richard Dreyfuss was a lot of fun. We do some singing and fun banter. The movie is called The Last Laugh and it will be streaming on Netflix later this year.

6 What is your goal for the future? Will: To continue to entertain and inspire, whether on stage or screen! Anthony: My goal is to continue to create music that touches people in some way. Writing music and live performing are my bliss. I have a few television projects in development with Will, including a sitcom that is coming together and can’t wait to see that to fruition! So creating content that entertains and inspires people is something that excites me as well. And most importantly is to give back, especially to young people. Our educational outreach program allows me to go into schools and conduct masterclasses and workshops with students. That is always the most rewarding part of my travels.
