SILENTSKY: CapSci and The Dudley Observatory present a staged reading of “Silent Sky” by Lauren Gunderson at miSci, the Museum of Science and Innovation, 15Nott Terrace Heights in Schenectady, on September 27at 7p.m. “Silent Sky” tells the compelling, true story of celebrated astronomer Henrietta Swan Leavitt and her female colleagues at the Harvard Observatory, and how they rose above the male-driven, turn-of-the-century world of science to make their way into history. WILLIAMS COLLEGE: Comedian Negin Farsad, author Reza Aslan, and writer Alicia Garza will explore the topic of free speech and intolerance during a roundtable discussion at Williams College.
