PATRICIA A. CONNALLY

Patricia A. Connally, 94, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Eddy Village Green. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Eugene F. Connally and Marion Bailey Connally, of Troy. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Eugene F. Connally, of Troy, New York. A graduate of Emma Willard School, Pat received a B.A. in English, cum laude, from Syracuse University and an M.A. in history from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She lived in New York City for many years, employed in editorial work for Coronet magazine, National Society for the Prevention of Blindness, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, and the national headquarters of Girls Scouts of the U.S.A. She retired from the Girl Scouts in 1990. Pat maintained an interest in history throughout her life. She also loved to travel, visiting more than 40 countries on six continents. She was a longtime volunteer for Emma Willard School and in 2001 received a Distinguished Alumna Award for service to the school. She was also a volunteer for the Rensselaer County Historical Society and was a former member of the Junior League of Troy and the Junior League of New York City. Pat is survived by her nephew and his wife, Christopher and Gail Connally, of Longmont, Colorado; and by two grand-nephews, Bryan Connally and his wife, Susan, and their two children, Emily and Beckett, of Louisville, Colorado, and Russell Connally and his wife, Angie, of Denver, Colorado. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:00am at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh, with Chaplain Leo Rosero officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Troy. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 11 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
