BERLIN – Laura L. Hoffman Suttie, 56, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Born in Troy on March 7, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Beverly Jewett Hoffman. Laura was raised in Berlin and was a 1980 graduate of Berlin Central High School. Following high school, she was a homemaker raising her two children. She then was employed by Marine Midland Bank in Menands, Walter G. Hiney, Inc. in Wynantskil­l as a secretary, Troy Savings Bank and later First Niagara Bank and last by M&T Bank in Wynantskil­l as a financial consultant. She was a member of the Troy YWCA Board of Directors. She loved vacations to the ocean at Gloucester, MA and Kennebunkp­ort, ME where she loved enjoying seafood. She is the beloved mother of Andrew (Nicole) Suttie of Berlin and Samantha E. Suttie of Albany; adored grandmothe­r of Acsha Bray, Aria Suttie, Aaliyah Suttie and William Suttie; dear sister of Sheila (Michael) Lisk of Glenfield, NY and Linda Lee Livingston­e of Ballston Spa. She is also survived by her precious dogs, Mia and Cindy Bear and leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Saturday at 12:30 pm at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentow­n with Rev. Trygve Tomlinson officiatin­g. Interment will follow in the Berlin Community Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
