CAPITAL DISTRICT YOUTH CHORALE: Now in its 36th season, the Capital District Youth Chorale is a talented group of singers ages 9-17 from forty public and parochial schools who meet weekly at Farnsworth Middle School in Guilderlan­d and perform at least six local concerts each year. They perform their annual holiday concert, featuring holiday music from the Renaissanc­e to Broadway, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at Albany. CELEBRATIO­N OF LESSONS & CAROLS: The ninth annual Celebratio­n of Lessons and Carols in Kinderhook begins at 4p.m. on Sunday, December 23, at Kinderhook Reformed Church, 21Broad Street. Nine readers from the larger community will be joined by a choir of forty experience­d singers under the direction of David Smith. Choral offerings include works from the 17th through 20th centuries.
