GUILDERLAN­D – Helen M. Rado Vanetti, 100, of Guilderlan­d, NY, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Albany. Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Katherine Naprawa Rado. Helen attended Troy Schools and the Albany Comptomete­r School. She was employed by the Albany Felt Company and later retired from the State of New York Department of Audit and Control. She was a communican­t of the former Holy Trinity Church in Troy, and All Saints Catholic Church, the former Saint Margaret Mary’s, in Albany. She resided in Guilderlan­d since 1952. Helen was also an avid golfer. Last March Helen celebrated her 100th birthday at a celebratio­n held at the Atria which was attended by close family members and friends. Helen was predecease­d by her husband Robert M. Vanetti. She is survived by her nieces Jeanne Rado Grantier (the late Fred), Marlene Rado Wojcik (Walter), Carol Rado McDonald and M. Barbara Urban; her nephew J.Wayne Rado; and by several grand nieces and nephews. She was also predecease­d by her brothers Joseph, Theodore, Thomas, Edwin, and John Rado, and by her sisters Mary Rado Urban (the late John) and Mildred T Rado. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staffs of the Atria Crossgate, and The Daughters of Sarah for the excellent care they gave Helen over the last two years. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 8:15 a.m., and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS) at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. The family suggests memorial contributi­ons to All Saints Catholic Church, 12 Rosemont St., Albany, NY 12203.
