Troy woman arrested following investigation into N. Greenbush bank robbery
NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. >> A 25-year-old Troy woman was arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the armed robbery of the M&T Bank in North Greenbush on Tuesday.
Nume r ous police agencies responded around 11: 30 a.m. Tuesday to the M&TBank branch at 313 North Greenbush for a report of an armed bank robbery.
Police said twomales entered the bank wearing face masks carrying weapons and proceeded to rob the bank.
During the robbery, police said shots were fired by the suspects as they fled the bank, with one shot grazing a female employee in the arm, whowas injured, treated and released with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials already charged Christopher J. Cohn and
Ulysses J. Walls, both age 25, with armed bank robbery. The complaint filed in federal court also charged Quardel E. Valentine, age 28, with conspiracy to commit bank robbery.
According to a news release, State police said they also arrested AhlamTalbi on numerous drug charges. The news release did not state her exact role in the armed bank robbery.
Talbi was charged with
third- fourth- and seventhdegree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
She was remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of bail.
The investigation into the bank robbery is continuing by the North Greenbush Police Department, New York State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
