Local DJ arrested again for alleged sex charge
COLONIE, N.Y. >> Officials with the Colonie Police Department said they arrested Brian O. Angelo, also known as “DJ Iroc”, and charged him with predatory sexual assault against a child.
Colonie police said they arrested him after he was indicted by an Albany County grand jury.
Authorities said this arrest is part of the continuing investigation by the Colonie Police Department and the New York State Police.
Angelo, 51, of Clifton Park, was previously charged, by the New York State Police in Rensselaer County, in January of this year for similar charges.
Angelo was charged in Rensselaer County with one count of first- degree sexual conduct against a child, three counts of firstdegree criminal sex act, four counts of first- degree sexual abuse, four counts of forcible touching and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest on Tuesday follows a lengthy investigation that began in July of 2018 when the Colonie Police Department received a child abuse hotline notification about the defendant’s sexual abuse of a victim in Colonie that began in 2006.
More specifically, the charge on Tuesday alleges the sexual abuse of a 12-year- old female, known to him in 2009.
The defendant’s arrest in January was publicized with a request from the NYSP for anyone to contact them with further information about the defendant.
The Colonie Police Department also requests that anyone with any information can also contact us at 518-783-2744.
Police said Angelo turned himself in, with his attorney, and was processed at the Colonie Police Department and then turned over to the NYSP for a related charge.
Hewas scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Albany County Court.
