Fifth annual Troy Craft Beer Week begins
TROY, N.Y. » The Troy Craft Beer Committee officially kicked off the 5th annual Troy Craft Beer Week.
Highlighting the Collar City’s strengths, including walkability, bike-ability, and strong civic pride, Troy Craft Beer Week’s lineup of events will show you a different side of the burgeoning city.
Multiple events are scheduled every night between July 29 and Aug. 3, encouraging participants to “Get Movin’ “and experience Troy’s many bars, breweries, and restaurants by foot, bike, and boat.
The week’s schedule of events reflects the ongoing efforts of the Troy Craft Beer Committee’s pinball initiative, bringing craft beer fans
to town to visit a variety of locally- owned craft beer establishments for a wellrounded experience, organizers noted.
Each night will feature a different theme and tell a different story about the
city’s small business excellence.
On Tuesday, participants can take part in “Take Me Out to The Ballgame” with burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream at Nighthawks, the Ruck, and Rare Form Brewing Co., respectively.
Wednesday’s “Beer Boot Camp” commences at Franklin Alley Social Club with a Mind, Body & Brews
yoga & fitness trivia night featuring Anatomie Gym.
On Thursday, people can enjoy “Rare Brews & Exquisite Treats” during the annual Rarest Form & Friends tap takeover with impossible- to- find beers from Troy and beyond.
“OG Night” on Friday gives a fun and festive overhaul to Troy’s Franklin and Church Street al
leyways and a celebration of the longtime veterans in the upstate craft beer industry at the Ruck.
And finally, “Sail Away” on Saturday with a mobile can launch from Sloop Brewing Co. at Troy Discount Beverage, and an epic Craft Cruise on the Captain JP III luxury cruise liner featuring 25 amazing New York craft
