CLASS C: Stillwater, 9-0 (6-0) vs. Cambridge-Salem, 8-1 (5-0), November 8, 7 p.m., Lansingburgh High School
Stillwater, another undefeated teamin Section II this season, will look to punch their ticket to State Tournament and continue their successful season with a win over Cambridge-Salem Friday night at Lansingburgh.
Stillwater is the only Class C school to go without a loss this season, and it was never really close.
Last week, Stillwater beat Greenwich 35-21. That win was the closest point differential they have had all season.
The Warriors have outscored opponents 355-97 and have torn up the ground, averaging over eight yards a carry. Leading the way has been Mason Seymour, who has rushed for 1223 yards on 168 carries this season and scored 19 touchdowns. Seymour also adds a defensive touchdown off of an interception to his stat line.
Quarterback JamesGalarneau adds 17 touchdowns to Stillwater’s arsenal and 1286 rushing yards. He has also passed for 647 yards and one touchdown.
Cambridge-Salem comes into the matchupwith plenty of firepower of their own.
The only loss the Warriors suffered this season was to Holy Trinity, an out of class opponent. From their, their run through Class C has been pretty similar to Stillwater’s.
Last week Cambridge-Salem beat Tamarac 41-21. It would have been their closest game of the season, if it wasn’t for a 19 point win over Granville on October 19 and a 12 point win over Greenwich in week one.
Kaedin Ogilvie leads the scoring for Cambridge-Salem with 14 total touchdowns.
