Rensselaer County’s Hoosick Falls Senior Center at 69Church Street, Hoosick Falls, will host guest speaker from the Rensselaer County Health Department on Thursday, Dec 5th at 11:15. HOLIDAY KIDS BIKE GIVEAWAY:

Bikeatoga will be holding its annual Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway on Saturday December 7, 2019 in Saratoga Springs. Over the past several months Bikeatoga has collected and refurbishe­d used kids bikes specifical­ly for this event. GREATER GREENWICH BREAKFAST WITH SANTA:

Santa is coming to Greenwich! The Annual Greenwich Breakfast with Santa event will be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2019from 7:30a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Greenwich Elks Club on Route 40in Greenwich. As always Santa is due to arrive by fire engine courtesy of the Greenwich Fire Department at approximat­ely 8a.m. The cost is $6for adults and $4for children under 10– tickets are available at the door. The breakfast is a family style pancake breakfast cooked by the Greenwich Elks Club. Children will have the opportunit­y to get their picture taken with Santa, make holiday crafts, create Christmas cards, and write Christmas Lists to Santa. The Pooh’s Corner Preschool will also be on hand to spread some cheer as they sing some Christmas carols. FOLK MUSIC LESSONS AND CAROLS:

If you love Christmas carols but are tired of Muzak, the “Festival of Lessons and Carols” in Ballston Spa might be just the thing. Carols drawn from Celtic, African American, and Early American traditions are the trademark of the concert at Christ Church, Ballston Spa, on Sunday, December 8at 4:00 P.M. and Monday, December 9at 7:30P.M. The concert is anchored by folk music legends John Kirk and Trish Miller of Greenfield Center with Field Horne and Theresa LaGattuta-Bruno of Saratoga Springs and Kristin McCabe of Charlton. If you love Christmas carols but are tired of Muzak, the “Festival of Lessons and Carols” in Ballston Spa might be just the thing. Carols drawn from Celtic, African American, and Early American traditions are the trademark of the concert at Christ Church, Ballston Spa, on Sunday, December 8at 4:00 P.M. and Monday, December 9at 7:30P.M. The concert is anchored by folk music legends John Kirk and Trish Miller of Greenfield Center with Field Horne and Theresa LaGattuta-Bruno of Saratoga Springs and Kristin McCabe of Charlton. This year’s special guests will include Dan Berggren of Ballston Spa and Joel Rosenberge­r of Saratoga Springs. The Poestenkil­l Seniors hold weekly meetings every Tuesday at 1p.m. at the Sullivan Jones VFW Post in Poestenkil­l. All seniors are welcome. Tuesday, December 10, 2019Lectur­e- “A Jane Austen Christmas” Carlo DeVito. The Albany County Historical Associatio­n at the Ten Broeck Mansion, located at located at 9Ten Broeck Place in Albany, will host the annual Holiday House activities beginning on Sunday, December 1and continuing until Sunday, December 22, 2019. There are many planned events the public will enjoy including candle light tours, a holiday tea, two musical performanc­es, an open house, a lecture, and a children’s story hour. Sinterklaa­s will visit many of the events throughout the month. The Ten Broeck Mansion is a 222year old Federal Style home that was built for Abraham Ten Broeck and his wife Elizabeth Van Rensselaer and family. It is lovingly preserved by the Albany County Historical Associatio­n. During the holiday season volunteer decorators from around the Capital region transform the home into a holiday wonderland.
