Arrest made in homicide at Martin Luther King Apartments
TROY, N.Y. » City police said they are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday night the Martin Luther King Apartments.
Members of the Troy Police Department responded to the Martin Luther King apartments shortly after 9:15 p.m. for an assault reported by a 911 call.

30-year- old male victim was located. The victim, Andre Mc
Clenos, of Troy, was treated on scene by members of the Troy
Fire Department and transported to a local hospital. The victim has been declared deceased, the case is being investigated as a homicide.
Police said they arrested Jeremy S. Skeen, 34, of Bronx, and charged him with first- degree manslaughter, a class B felony, first- degree assault, a class B felony, and two counts of fourth- degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Members of the department’s Evidence Technician Unit and Detective Bureau have been involved in the incident from the initial response.
“We do not believe there to be any ongoing threat to our community,” police said in a news release.
According to police, it has been determined the victim arrived at the apartment, an altercation took place between the suspect (who was already at the apartment) and the suspect stabbed the victim at least one time in the torso, causing the victim’s death. The suspect was arrested, charged and appeared in Troy City Court on for arraignment.
“We want to recognize the efforts of the Troy Housing Authority, Troy Fire Department and Rensselaer County District Attorney’s office all of whom assisted in the investigation. The investigation will continue throughout today and the coming days, however, we believe there to be no ongoing threat to our community as this appears to be an isolated incident,” city police said in an updated news release Wednesday morning.
