Troy Night Out celebrates ‘Small Business Friday Summer Edition’

TROY, N.Y. » Attendees can explore downtown Troy in-person and online this Friday during Troy Night Out.

Small Business Saturday is six months away, but this Friday people can celebrate its half birthday with Small Business (Friday) Summer Edition on June 26 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and beyond.

With the coronaviru­s pandemic and public health and safety in mind, enjoy the last Friday of the month in-person or virtually with personaliz­ed in-store shopping and outdoor dining, plus online shopping opportunit­ies and delivery, takeout, and curbside pick-up from your favorite downtown shops and restaurant­s.

Celebrate “Small Business (Friday) Summer Edition” in downtown Troy by shopping small summer-style. The mild summer evening makes for a downtown experience for all the senses.

“Many downtown businesses are back open and excited to see you in physically distanced safe ways!” Executive Director of the Downtown Troy Business Improvemen­t District Katie Hammon said in a news release. “Troy is made up of incredible community members!

“Thank you for supporting small businesses throughout the past many months. We appreciate your dedication to the community and downtown businesses and are looking forward to seeing you back in person as we transition into further phases. Remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing downtown while supporting small businesses.”

With Phase III in place in the Capital Region, many shops and restaurant­s have opened their physical spaces with limited occupancy shopping and dining, curbside pickup, and delivery.

Organizers encourage shoppers to frequent businesses however they feel most comfortabl­e. Visit business websites and social accounts to understand how they are adhering to regulation­s.
