Saturday, July 18 FOOD TRUCK CORRAL:

The Washington County Fair is continuing its new Fantastic Food Truck Corral event series on Fridays and Saturdays through July 25. Events will be held from 4to 8p.m. on Fridays and 11a.m. to 8p.m. on Saturdays at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Each week the fairgrounds will welcome food vendors from around the area for an evening of fair food that attendees can enjoy in the comfort of their own home. Food truck patrons will have the option to pre-order from the vendors for contactless curbside pick-up or take-out on the day of the event. To ensure everyone’s safety, masks are required to visit the food truck event as well as maintaining six feet of social distance from fellow food patrons and vendors. Handwashing stations with water and soap and hand sanitizer dispensers will be available throughout the corral for all to use throughout the event. The fair will release a list of vendors on its website every Monday, before the Friday event. You’re invited to celebrate Opening Weekend, in downtown Saratoga Springs, with our first-ever “Masks On” celebration, a downtown shopping experience for the Hats Off opening weekend at the race track! Everyone strolling along outside on Broadway this opening weekend enjoying this entertainment, our stores, shops and restaurants must follow CDC guidelines for social distancing. Where this is not possible outside along the street such as near a live entertainer, you must wear a mask for your own safety as well as those around you. ART EXHIBIT: Hudson Hall is proud to reopen its doors on June 27, 2020with Rodney Alan Greenblat’s aptly-titled, Something to Look Forward to, an enjoyable, whimsical and engaging collection of new and archival works bursting with color and underpinned with wit and charm. The exhibition, which runs until August 23in Hudson Hall’s Center Hall Gallery and Common Council Room, is free and open to the public on a limited, timed entry, reservation-only basis (maximum 10entries per hour). Socially-distanced guided tours ($10, free for members, maximum of 6per tour) take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm. SUNDAY STROLL:

Sunday, July 19- Historic Fifth & Madison Avenues. The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation is thrilled to present their summer series of historic walking tours while remaining safe and socially distanced. Summer Sunday Strolls will be offered every Sunday through Sept. 6at 10:30a.m. in various neighborhoods throughout the city. Tour topics this season highlight prominent women of Greenridge Cemetery, the celebrated area surrounding the Saratoga Race Course, and the historic Spa State Park, among many others. All Sunday morning tours last approximately 90minutes and require walking and standing on varied terrain. Due to current restrictions in New York State, Summer Strolls will be limited to 20 guests, which currently is less than the maximum of 25 that is currently allowed, and tickets must be purchased in advance until otherwise noted. Everyone will be required to wear a mask and social distancing will be encouraged when possible. The cost per tour is $15for SSPF members and $20for non-members. BLOOD DRIVE: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 1to 6p.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at Saratoga Casino Hotel, located at 342 Jefferson St. in Saratoga Springs. Each Red Cross blood drive and donation center follows the highest standards of safety and infection control, and additional precautions – including social distancing and face coverings for donors and staff – have been implemented to ensure the health of all those in attendance. To date, Saratoga Casino Hotel has collected more than 1,600blood donations at their biannual blood drives. All presenting donors at this July’s blood drive will receive a Saratoga Casino Hotel baseball cap for donating. Simply download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17years of age in most states (16with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

The Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust Program Series - Troy and Saratoga Springs: Much in Common. The Saratoga Springs History Museum, will be holding a virtual presentation via ZOOM on Thursday, July 23at 7pm Titled Troy and Saratoga Springs: Much in Common as part of the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust Program Series. Through the years the cities of Troy and Saratoga Springs have shared many things in common. This talk covers many of the things that represent that tie. The presentation will cover wellknown personalities such as John Morrissey, residences of well-known industrialists, and railroads such as the Delaware & Hudson that had much to do with the late 19th and early 20th century economic development of both Saratoga Springs and Troy. Author Richard Chait and City of Troy/Rensselaer County historian Kathy Sheehan will present this interesting topic. This event is free, and limited to the first 100people to join. EXPERTS NEXT DOOR SERIES:

A new “Experts Next Door” series of workshops and discussions is being offered by the Saratoga County History Center, located at Brookside in Ballston Spa. Skidmore professor, Dr. Tillman Nechtman will lead a discussion on July 23at 7 pm based on his research on Britain’s use of the ocean as a world power. New York’s role in early 19th century religious revivals will be explored by Dr. Jennifer Dorsey of Siena College on August 27, also at 7pm. This event will be offered to the public over Zoom, to raise funds for the Saratoga County History Center. Tickets for the event are at the Brookside Museum website or Saratoga County Historical Society’s Facebook page. SLOW ROLL BIKE RIDE: Pump up your tires and celebrate summer biking with an all ages socially distanced slow roll on the streets of Saratoga Springs. Helmets encouraged, masks are a must. Hosted by Bicycle Benefits, Palette Cafe, Bikeatoga and Impressions of Saratoga on the last Sunday of every month. Ride rolls out from Palette Cafe at 10:15a.m. sharp so roll over early to grab a bite to eat or drink. Cruisers, road bikes, tandems welcome. DHARMA MEDITATION:

Meditation Classes Led by Pierre Zimmerman of One Roof Saratoga. July 12-August 30, Sundays at 9am on the SPAC grounds in the Saratoga Spa State Park. Dharma Meditation includes inspirational topics that support emotional, cognitive, and ethical wishes for wellbeing. This is a sitting meditation for 25minutes with a silent break allowing people to stretch, followed by a second sitting, introduced by a brief talk. A discussion on the topic and some insights and reflections about the nature and commonality of our basic humanity is shared by attendees. This meditation is open to beginners and/ or those who have been meditating for awhile. There is no cost to attend, but a $10donation per class is suggested. We’re bringing the silver screen to Pitney Meadows Community Farm at 223West Ave, Saratoga Springs, with two fun- and food-filled Drive-In Movie Nights. Along with the movies ($10per car), we’ve got local chefs cooking up amazing food, from small charcuterie boxes to vegetarian picnic boxes for four, and pulled-pork sandwiches, veggie skewers, ice cream sandwiches, and much more, plus cocktails and nonalcoholic beverages to keep you cool. Saturday, Aug. 1 MUSEUM GALA: On August

1, 2020, Shaker Museum will hold its first ever virtual Annual Benefit Gala. The theme of this year’s Gala is inclusion and the Museum’s honorees, Lacey Schwartz Delgado and Alan Cumming, are individuals whose work embodies and promotes inclusion. The event will unite numerous supporters of the Shaker Museum in a shared online experience that will include entertainment, remarks from the honorees, and a dance party hosted by Alan Cumming’s Club Cumming in New York City via Instagram Live. The gala is the Museum’s largest annual fundraising event and is critical to the Shaker Museum’s ability to continue to fulfill its mission to tell the story of the Shakers, including their furniture and architecture as well as their values of inclusion, innovation, integrity, and conviction. The Shaker Museum stewards the historic site in New Lebanon, New York and has a campus in Old Chatham, New York, which is open year-round by appointment, where the administrative offices, collections, library, and archives are housed. FINE ART TOUR & SALE:

Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour and Sale - 10a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday Aug.1and 2in the village of Cambridge. Enjoy the historic, walkable village of Cambridge the weekend of August 1st and 2nd. Support local artists, find something unique and wonderful, and have fun doing it! Take time the weekend of August 1st and 2nd to visit 4artists in their studios for our ninth Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour. All of the participants live in the village of Cambridge and have been producing art for many years. The artists will be displaying their work and following the CDC guidelines for masks and physical distancing. Please plan on wearing a mask while touring the studios and outdoor spaces. Starting on the west end of Main Street, visit with Matt Chinian, plein air artist with many scenes of our local streets, streams and landscapes. Just down the street on Myrtle Avenue is Sara Kelly with her fanciful and vivid watercolors and oils, along with calendars, cards and prints. Head east on Main Street to Grove Street, where George Van Hook will have his work displayed outdoors, his yard full of his gorgeous paintings. CANCELED - The 2020Turning Point Parade & Festival, one of Schuylerville’s largest annual events, will not be held this summer due to COVID-19. The 26th annual Turning Point Parade and the 16th annual Turning Point Festival, originally scheduled for Aug. 1and 2in Schuylerville, are canceled. The Turning Point Parade Committee is always looking for members to help with the planning of this event. 9to 10a.m. Sundays in Riverfront Park, July 19through Sept. 6- The perfect way to start your Sundays in Troy. Weekend workout, brunch with friends, browse the shops, enjoy Troy! Exercise among the downtown Troy community at Free Fitness in The Park. Class will be held at Riverfront Park with Circles for Easy Distancing. Check in when you arrive with Troy BID Staff. Attendees must wear a mask until you are seated in your circle. Bring your own mat and water. Do not attend if you have any of the symptoms of COVID-19. ART EXHIBIT: Hudson Hall is proud to reopen its doors on June 27, 2020with Rodney Alan Greenblat’s aptly-titled, Something to Look Forward to, an enjoyable, whimsical and engaging collection of new and archival works bursting with color and underpinned with wit and charm. The exhibition, which runs until August 23in Hudson Hall’s Center Hall Gallery and Common Council Room, is free and open to the public on a limited, timed entry, reservation-only basis (maximum 10entries per hour). Socially-distanced guided tours ($10, free for members, maximum of 6per tour) take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm. FINE ART TOUR & SALE:

Support local artists, find something unique and wonderful, and have fun doing it! Take time the weekend of August 1st and 2nd to visit 4artists in their studios for our ninth Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour. All of the participants live in the village of Cambridge and have been producing art for many years. The artists will be displaying their work and following the CDC guidelines for masks and physical distancing. Please plan on wearing a mask while touring the studios and outdoor spaces. Starting on the west end of Main Street, visit with Matt Chinian, plein air artist with many scenes of our local streets, streams and landscapes. Just down the street on Myrtle Avenue is Sara Kelly with her fanciful and vivid watercolors and oils, along with calendars, cards and prints. Head east on Main Street to Grove Street, where George Van Hook will have his work displayed outdoors, his yard full of his gorgeous paintings. The last stop on the tour is Mark Tougias, at the corner of Spring Street and North Park (Rt. 22N) with his luscious, vibrant landscapes. Elana Mark is unable to show live this summer but will be showing her artwork virtually, at elanamarkpaintings.com. Email or call her if you’re interested in any of the art on her website.
