Sunday, Sept. 27 FISH FRY:
Fish Creek Rod and Gun Club in Victory will have a takeout only Fish Fry on Sunday 27September 2020. Starting at 3pm thru 6pm, menu will be: Fish Fry or Chicken Tenders with french fries and tartar sauce and roll. Cost will be $8.00per meal. You can call ahead with your order at 518-695-3917. You will need to stay in your vehicle, we will collect your money and serve your meal. We welcome all to attend. HOLLOWED HARVEST: ‘The Hollowed Harvest’ will feature 7,000incredible Jack-O’Lanterns creating stunning landscapes and larger-thanlife displays, some towering as tall as 3stories, and spanning more than 60feet in length! The Hollowed Harvest is scheduled to open September 25th at 6p.m. at the Altamont Fairgrounds and will continue Thursday through Sunday of each week through the beginning of November with additional dates added the week of Halloween. Show dates and ticket information are available on the web at HollowedHarvest.com. From dinosaurs to zombies, sea creatures to medieval castles, all made out of Jack-O’-Lanterns, you won’t believe what you’re going to see at the Hollowed Harvest! To create a safe event, the Hollowed Harvest has limited time slots to reduce the number of guests admiring the show at one time and has coordinated with town police to enact a COVID safety plan in which guests must also wear face masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In a year of cancellations, you can count on the Hollowed Harvest to save Halloween. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are exclusively available online at HollowedHarvest.com with limited time slots. Times slots are a first come first serve and will likely closeout. development from 1910to the present, highlighting its significant architecture and landscape while remaining socially distant. Bike through the beautiful outdoors along the old roads, carriage paths, and trolley lines to explore the progressive story of Saratoga Spa State Park. This includes the protection of the springs, the creation of the reservation, and its development as a world-class spa, which today is a major cultural and recreational destination. The tour starts at the early bathhouses on South Broadway, known as Lincoln Park, then travels over to the little known springs on Route 50, and down to the scenic Geyser Park area. Along the way some of the changes made in the 1960s will be discussed. The tour concludes at the complex of Beaux Arts buildings in the heart of the park. Tickets are $20for SSPF Members and $25for non-members. Tour will last approximately three hours and people must bring their own bike. For those who do not have a bike, you can rent a bike through CDPHP Cycle! which has multiple locations throughout Saratoga Springs. Space is limited to 20and tickets must be purchased in advance. The tour meets outside of the National Museum of Dance, 99South Broadway. Master Gardener and Interior Designer Denise Maurer will be presenting a workshop entitled Repurposing Found Objects Into Garden Art on Tuesday, September 29th at 6PM, via Zoom for the Troy Public Library. Have a lot of odd glass pieces that have been collecting dust? Learn how to make garden totems and flowers for the garden. How about an old lamp base? Wire a moss lined basket to it to transform it into a graceful planter. Discover ways to repurpose found objects into something else. We’ll share inspiration and instruction in this fun class. UNDERSTANDING SHAKESPEARE:
Join us at the Troy Public Library on Thursdays, September 10th – October 8th from 6:30PM – 7:30PM for our Understanding Shakespeare workshop. This will be a five-session program on how to understand Shakespeare’s plays. We will start our discussion with Act 1of Shakespeare’s tragedy “Coriolanus.” Then in the following four weeks we will discuss the play one act at a time. This program will allow the participants to put the play in a variety of contexts, such as its relationship to his other works and to the modern existential world. Tom Bulger, Shakespeare Scholar and retired professor from Siena College will lead this workshop. Please have Act One read for the September 10th discussion. This program is free and open to the public. This program will be conducted using zoom. Registration is necessary. PUMPKIN GLOW& LIGHT SHOW:
Ellms Family Farm is launching a new fall themed attraction. The Pumpkin Glow & Light Show Drive-Thru is an enchanting Halloween experience that features a pumpkin wonderland with thousands of hand carved illuminated jack o’lanterns. Guests are invited to be immersed in the magic from the safety and comfort of their own vehicle. The DriveThru experience boasts single pumpkin carvings to larger than life dazzling light displays. Ellms Family Farm has partnered with master carvers that are bringing all of the Halloween spirit to life. In addition to marveling at the masterpieces created by talented artists, guests will have the opportunity to be able to enjoy all the Ellms Farms fall snacks they know and love, by preselecting and prepaying for tasty fall themed treats, food & beverages, again to be enjoyed from your vehicle. This attraction is open from 7to 10p.m.

FIELD OF HORRORS: Local haunted attraction Field of Horrors will open for its Sneak Peek Weekend from 6:30to 11p.m. on Sept. 25and 26. It will then be open from 6:30 to 11p.m. on Oct. 2, 3, 9, 10 and 11as well as 6to 11p.m. on Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31.
