Rotary Club’s Home & Lifestyle Show canceled because of COVID-19 concerns
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs has canceled its upcoming annual Home & Lifestyle Show due to COVID-19.
The 2021 event was scheduled for Feb. 27 and 28 at the Saratoga Springs City Center in downtown Saratoga Springs.
The Home & Lifestyles Show is the biggest yearly fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Saratoga Springs. All proceeds of the show typically fund the group’s community giving, Education Foundation and Major Gift Program.
“We are saddened that we had to cancel the Home & Lifestyles Show but feel it is the responsible thing for us to do under the circumstances,” a press release from the club’s board president Susan Rhoades said.
In lieu of the Home & Lifestyles Show, the Rotary Club will present three different fundraisers to allow the club to continue to support the community.
The first fundraiser, 12 Days of Giving, is currently underway. The Rotary Club is supporting local downtown businesses in Saratoga Springs by raffling off packages purchased from the local businesses. The packages range from $230 to $1,300 in value. Tickets are $20 each and are entered in for a chance to win one of the 12 packages. Drawings will take place on the club ‘s Facebook page (SaratogaSpringsRotary) from Dec. 13 through24. The club also plans to hold a tennis and golf tournament in the summer and fall of 2021 to raise additional funds.
